Bullet Point Theatre: New play ‘Our Last First’
June 6 - June 14
Hello! You found us!
Welcome to Bullet Point Theatre,
New Play ‘Our Last First’
Times: Tues – Sat 7.30pm
Wed & Sat 2.30pm
Bullet Point Theatre is co-founded by Lucinda Coyle and Samuel Xavier. It was created with one aim, for each show topic to be about a voice or conversation that is not allowed time or space.
‘Our Last First’ is a play written without any pronouns, genders, ages, or physical descriptions, and is cast live, promoting diversity and equality in love stories & theatre casting. We believe the show is aimed at creatives and audiences who see the importance of fostering change in theatre portrayal and casting for minority communities, such as the LGBTQIA+, the Global Majority, and those with health conditions and impairments, whose love stories are underrepresented. The show proves that diverse casting is possible, that actors can play roles regardless of who they physically are, and educates/ informs audiences about different communities they may not choose to watch, and their realities. Oh, and every night is cast live! Meaning our four actors must learn all four roles and the audiences (and the actors) won’t know who is playing who until they walk onto the stage and the casting process begins. Meaning one night you’ll see a show that focuses on love across different cultural backgrounds and the next on Queer love. Our Last First premiered at The Union Southwark in November 2021 to a sold-out run & 5-star reviews, and now is returning for a bigger and bolder production.
